EHS Representative

About the position

The Safety, Health, and Environmental Representative is responsible for the overall safety performance of the plant. The primary responsibility is to design, implement and sustain an effective safety program including the specific duties listed below. The Environmental & Safety Engineer will monitor the emissions from the plant and submit reports to the appropriate regulatory agencies as needed to maintain compliance.

What you will do

  • Provide leadership to drive a healthy and safe work environment through implementation of workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting and investigation all injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
  • Maintain a strong manufacturing floor presence and develop relationships with employees to invigorate a culture of engaged employee driven safety programs.
  • Oversee employee led safety sub-committees and chair the Plant Safety Committee.
  • Partner with departmental leadership to identify and develop programs to continually improve employee safety, health, and wellness.
  • Manage the facility’s environmental programs and maintain permits through timely and accurate reporting.
  • Network and keep current on regulatory changes to maintain site compliance.

What you have to offer

  • An infectious passion for employee safety and engagement.
  • Degree from accredited 4-year college or university. B.S. Environmental Health and Safety preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office operation systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as necessary
  • Desire and ability to work in a manufacturing environment with high noise, solvent fumes common with the printing industry.
