Assistant Project Manager

Opportunity to work for one of the largest family owned general contractors in the United States. The Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer position does not require any travel. The Atlanta office is one of the newer offices in the country, and will have room for advancement. They are seeking talented individuals looking for a long term career with leadership potential. They offer a generous pay structure including bonuses, 401k, and health insurance.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • 2-5 years Commercial General Contracting Experience with some estimating background
  • Client facing (professional individual)
  • Assist with preconstruction efforts
  • Assists with reports regarding financial performance of the project
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor payment processes
  • Resolves conflict with subcontractors
  • Compiles reports regarding financial performance of the project, including PSR, PFC and CI report
  • Prepare trade contracts and bid packages, as well as oversee procurement process
  • Oversee performance of project including, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems, maintain relationships with clients, designers and consultants
  • Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction and pre-award
  • Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications
  • Conduct quality control inspections
  • Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others
