• Supervise and provide technical expertise as required to the Mill, HDG, Slitting Threading, and all Secondary Process departments
• Ensure all employees are trained to perform their respective jobs including the purpose of the safety features of their specific machine, workstation controls, and tools and equipment
• Effectively communicate all operational goals and results in a positive and efficient manner
• Continuously build and communicate an atmosphere that is KPI driven and continuously improving.
• Review daily operational results, and to communicate operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to superiors to prevent operational delays
• Prepare a variety of reports and other information for senior management
• Review daily operational reports to communicate operational, manufacturing, maintenance issues and shift events to the plant manager to prevent operational delays
• Troubleshoot operational, and tooling problems to improve quality and efficiency
• Build and maintain a positive team-oriented environment amongst and between all departments
• Evaluate employee performance objectively based upon the job requirements and behavioral indicators of performance
• Discipline Mill, HDG, Slitting, Threading, and all Secondary Processes in coordination with plant management and Human Resources
