Environmental & Safety Engineer

We are searching for an Environmental & Safety Engineer to join our client’s growing team.

Duties of the Environmental & Safety Engineer include:

  • Cultivate a culture of safety awareness & environmental stewardship
  • Provide support/resources to operations & maintenance for the implementation of safety and environmental improvements
  • Understand, implement and communicate federal, state and local OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Develop, organize and deliver safety and environmental training
  • Review, develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety (OSHA 300 logs) and environmental records
  • Interaction with regulatory agencies
  • Ability to travel to other divisions
Qualifications
  • 3+ years environmental experience including environmental compliance, industrial data collection and report preparation in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations (air, water, hazardous waste)
  • Experience evaluating, creating and monitoring processes and information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Engineering
  • Experience in environmental compliance in a manufacturing or other industrial environment
  • Experience in water treatment operations and managing industrial environmental programs.
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of an ISO14001 or equivalent EMS.
