We are searching for a Cost Accountant to join our client’s growing team.

Basic Functions:

• Monthly and Annual financial closing process, preparation of financial statements and various analytical reports
• Projects will include the preparation and analysis of detailed cost analyses, preparation of sales tax returns, income tax preparation, capital project tracking
• General ledger accounting
• Maintain and continuously improve internal control structure
• Financial and cost analysis work to drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the business
• Sarbanes-Oxley

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
• 3 years work experience in financial related position

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CMA
• Oracle experience
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, while proficient in other Microsoft Office Suite software
• 2+ years of relevant cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or steel industry
• Strong commitment to safety in all job aspects
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently under aggressive deadlines
• Capable of taking initiative and working with little supervision
• Able to effectively interrelate with customers across all levels of the organization
• Strong ability to analyze data and to think strategically
• Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment and promote teamwork
• Highly motivated and trustworthy with a strong work ethic and commitment to producing a quality product
