Director of Construction

About the Role: We are conducting a search for a Director of Construction to join a rapidly expanding team. This is a high-impact leadership role with direct access to the CEO and a clear path to a future VP position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial, retail, and interior fit-out projects and a background in general contracting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for a growing team of project managers, superintendents, and construction professionals.

• Work closely with the CEO and executive leadership to shape the company’s growth strategy and operational processes.

• Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project execution.

• Implement best practices, safety standards, and operational efficiencies to optimize project delivery.

• Identify and mentor emerging talent within the organization to build a strong leadership pipeline.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have prior experience in a general contracting environment; Owner’s Representative candidates will also be considered.

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction management with a proven track record in commercial, retail, and interior fit-out projects.

• Experience in a senior leadership role such as Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Director of Operations, or Senior Superintendent.

• Strong understanding of construction operations, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and lead a dynamic team.
