Director of Field Operations/General Superintendent

Location: Chicago, IL

A dynamic and growing general contractor specializing in light industrial projects is seeking a Director of Field Operations/General Superintendent to lead its field operations team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this role plays a critical part in managing safety, overseeing superintendents, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the superintendent and project management teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and protocols.
• Oversee all field operations, managing job sites to meet quality and schedule expectations.
• Provide input during project planning and execution phases.
• Attend office meetings and maintain computer proficiency for reporting and documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in concrete and site work.
• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to operational excellence.
• Ability to travel between job sites as needed.
