We are currently hiring a Electrical Engineer to join our client’s growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant-wide electrical systems and equipment
- Support production by ensuring electrical systems operate reliably and efficiently
- Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime
- Assist in training and documentation for equipment and procedures
- Uphold safety standards and contribute to a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to improve reliability and performance
- Participate in project planning and execution when required
- Work a flexible schedule, including rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (completed or expected by May 2025)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays during scheduled shutdowns or operational needs
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, automation, and power systems
- Familiarity with:
- Drive control systems
- PLC hardware/software
- Ethernet-based control systems
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Desire and ability to grow professionally within the organization
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical maintenance in a steel mill or similar industrial setting
- Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, ANSI, and IEEE standards
- Experience with arc flash analysis, short circuit studies, and relay coordination
- Background in project management is a plus
