We are searching for an Environmental Supervisor to join our client’s growing team.

Duties of the Environmental Supervisor include:

  • Growing and developing environmental team (environmental operators and environmental professionals)
  • Ensure plantwide understanding of compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations and policies
  • Sustainability training, goals and projects facilitation
  • Develop and provide applicable training, reports key regulatory requirements, and participates in corporate environmental initiatives
  • ISO 14001 management, project management, and community outreach
  • Implementation and operation of environmental programs and environmental department activities
  • Work with the team to share ideas, resources, and strengthen the environmental group of multiple facilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related degree or equivalent years of applicable experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead both internal and external teams in a timely and cost-effective manner with focus on attaining goals
  • Demonstrated understanding of environmental laws pertaining to industry and the ability to manage an EMS to satisfy regulatory requirements and company objectives
  • 5+ years environmental compliance, permitting and ability to serve as a liaison for State and Federal environmental agencies
  • Objective reasoning, professional public image, persuasive speaker, and the ability to communicate well with a variety of audiences

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in environmental compliance in a manufacturing or other industrial environment
    • Experience in managing industrial environmental programs.
    • Experience with implementation and maintenance of an ISO14001 or equivalent EMS.
