Inside Sales/Estimator / Project Manager – Steel Fabrication (Confidential Client)

We’re representing a family-owned, 100% privately held metals company that is investing heavily in growth and modernization. With over $10M invested in capital improvement over the past four years, this company is on the rise—and now looking for a customer-focused Inside Sales / Estimator / Project Manager to support their expanding business.

This hybrid role will support both value-added fabrication (90% of revenue) and distribution (10%), working directly with customers to deliver accurate quotes, manage project execution, and ensure exceptional service throughout.


Position Overview:

The Estimator / Project Manager will be the primary internal point of contact for a portfolio of customers—handling estimating, project tracking, and proactive communication from quote through delivery. This person must be personable, service-oriented, and comfortable with technical estimating, ERP systems, and a fast-moving job shop environment.


What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a trusted liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.

  • Review blueprints, drawings, and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates using ERP (Global Shop Solutions).

  • Manage ongoing jobs from initial quote through production and final delivery—keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront.

  • Support outside sales by helping qualify and service new accounts.

  • Promote cross-selling of fabrication and distribution services.

  • Resolve issues quickly and professionally; customers should want to call you with questions.


What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in estimating, inside sales, or project management—preferably in metals, fabrication, or manufacturing.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; chemistry and likability matter as much as technical ability.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to read blueprints/specs.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • A positive, team-first attitude and a desire to contribute to a growing operation.


Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $75,000 – $90,000

  • On-Target Earnings: $100K+ for an average performer

  • Full benefits included
