Procurement Analyst – Industrial Gases & Energy Supply

A growing leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst with specialized knowledge in industrial gas and natural gas supply. This critical role will focus on managing key third-party supplier contracts and supporting strategic procurement of energy resources to align with operational and financial goals.

🔍 What You’ll Do:

• Lead management of existing industrial gas agreements, including those supplied via onsite air separation units.

• Coordinate closely with operations and stakeholders to align production and outage schedules.

• Forecast energy budgets using detailed contract analysis and market conditions.

• Support procurement activities for natural gas and electricity, ensuring competitive and reliable supply.

• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate favorable long-term and spot contracts for gas and energy procurement.

• Draft, review, and execute purchase agreements while ensuring legal and commercial terms align with business risk tolerance.

• Ensure compliance with relevant contract law and maintain documentation according to best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs.

• Drive cost-savings and process improvements in energy sourcing and contract administration.

🎓 What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience procuring industrial gases and natural gas; familiarity with electricity markets is a strong plus.

• Hands-on experience in contract negotiation, execution, and supplier management.

• Understanding of contract law, preferably within the state of Alabama.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

✅ Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Alabama-specific procurement or commercial law.

• Previous experience working within industrial or steel manufacturing environments.

• Legal or paralegal background supporting contract drafting or negotiation.
