Project Engineer

ZSG

Our client is a top-ranked construction general contractor in the Northern, KY area. They are currently seeking a talented Project Engineer to join their team, and help their company continue to grow. What You’ll Do
1. Project Coordination

  • Collaborates with architects, subcontractors, engineers, and clients.

  • Assists in planning construction activities and schedules.

  • Ensures communication between all stakeholders is smooth and timely.

2. Technical Support

  • Interprets and reviews blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

  • Ensures the project complies with engineering standards and codes.

  • Provides technical solutions to on-site problems.

3. Document Management

  • Handles RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and change orders.

  • Maintains project documentation such as drawings, specs, and logs.

4. Quality & Safety Oversight

  • Helps implement quality control processes.

  • May assist with safety checks and compliance with OSHA standards.

5. Budget & Cost Tracking

  • Assists the Project Manager in tracking project costs and schedules.

  • Helps ensure the project stays within budget and on time.

6. Field Support
  • Visits job sites to ensure progress aligns with plans.
  • Works with superintendents to solve site-specific issues.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.

      Experience

      • 1-5 years, often including internships or co-ops in construction or engineering.

      Skills
      • Strong communication and teamwork.
      • Technical understanding of construction drawings and specs.
      • Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
      • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
      • Knowledge of construction methods, codes, and safety regulations.
