Project Engineer

Collaborates with architects, subcontractors, engineers, and clients.

Assists in planning construction activities and schedules.

Ensures communication between all stakeholders is smooth and timely.

Interprets and reviews blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
-
Ensures the project complies with engineering standards and codes.
-
Provides technical solutions to on-site problems.
-
Handles RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and change orders.
-
Maintains project documentation such as drawings, specs, and logs.
-
Helps implement quality control processes.
-
May assist with safety checks and compliance with OSHA standards.
-
Assists the Project Manager in tracking project costs and schedules.
-
Helps ensure the project stays within budget and on time.
-
Visits job sites to ensure progress aligns with plans.
-
Works with superintendents to solve site-specific issues.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.Experience
-
1-5 years, often including internships or co-ops in construction or engineering.
Skills-
Strong communication and teamwork.

Technical understanding of construction drawings and specs.
-
Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
-
Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
-
Knowledge of construction methods, codes, and safety regulations.
