Safety Manager – Heavy Civil Construction

Are you a dedicated Safety Manager with a passion for ensuring the well-being of workers on large-scale construction projects? We are a leading general contractor specializing in heavy industrial projects, and we are looking for a Safety Manager to join our team.
About the Role:
As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols and procedures on a $64M wastewater treatment plant project in Minneapolis, MN, known as Pig’s Eye. Your expertise will help create a safe working environment for our entire team, ensuring that safety standards are met or exceeded throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety plans tailored to heavy industrial construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to all personnel on proper safety procedures and practices.
- Lead incident investigations and create reports to ensure continuous improvement in safety practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Manager in heavy industrial construction, with a focus on water/wastewater projects.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Proven ability to lead and train teams on safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to safety management.
