Senior Superintendent

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Superintendent to lead a large multifamily construction project in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing multifamily projects from pre-construction through final delivery. They will be responsible for ensuring that all phases of construction are executed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:

Lead the overall field operations for a large-scale multifamily project, ensuring smooth workflow and execution.

Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors to develop and maintain the construction schedule.

Maintain daily project logs and coordinate all on-site activities.
Quality Control:

Enforce high-quality standards and conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and company quality benchmarks.

Proactively identify and mitigate construction issues to prevent delays and rework.

Conduct punch list reviews and manage project close-out activities.
Safety Management:

Promote a culture of safety on-site and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and project safety regulations.

Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all site personnel are trained and aware of safety protocols.

Lead incident investigations and implement corrective measures as necessary.
Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination:

Manage and oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure all work is completed on time and to specification.

Hold regular subcontractor meetings to discuss progress, resolve issues, and align on upcoming activities.
Scheduling & Budgeting:

Develop and maintain the master project schedule and look-ahead schedules.

Monitor project costs and assist in identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.

Coordinate with the Project Manager to review and approve subcontractor progress payments.
Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary on-site contact for project owners, architects, and consultants.

Provide regular progress updates and status reports to the internal project team and clients.

Respond promptly to client concerns and resolve issues effectively.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in construction, with at least 4 years in a superintendent role overseeing multifamily projects.
Skills & Competencies:
-
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods specific to multifamily projects.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and scheduling tools.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with all project stakeholders.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple trades in a dynamic construction environment.
Certifications:
-
OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.
-
First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Working Conditions:

Full-time, on-site role with frequent exposure to construction site conditions.

May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
