Structural Steel Estimator

An industry pioneer in the pre-engineered metal building space is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Estimator to join their team. With nearly a century of experience, this family-owned manufacturer has built a strong legacy of personal service, quality craftsmanship, and engineering excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a stable and growing organization that operates out of a state-of-the-art 220,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. You’ll work with a team of experienced engineers, draftsmen, and sales professionals—many of whom have spent their careers helping shape the future of the metal building industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for structural steel and PEMB projects

• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents

• Coordinate closely with internal teams (engineering, drafting, and sales) to ensure precise scoping and quoting

• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors

• Support value engineering efforts, budgeting, and change orders as needed

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 3+ years of experience estimating structural steel or PEMB projects

• Solid understanding of fabrication and erection processes

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Proficiency with estimating software; Tekla EPM and/or Tekla Structures experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently and hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment
