Job Title: Superintendent – Ground-Up Construction

Overview:
A leading general contractor in the Southeast is actively seeking a skilled Superintendent to join their Charlotte-based team. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced construction professional who thrives in managing ground-up construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of delivering complex builds in sectors such as healthcare, higher education, industrial, hospitality, mixed-use, and corporate office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all field operations for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery, safety, and quality compliance

• Oversee on-site scheduling, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and construction progress

• Enforce safety standards, manage daily reports, and conduct regular safety meetings

• Collaborate closely with project managers, owners, architects, and engineers to maintain clear communication and resolve jobsite challenges

• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, progress photos, and material deliveries

• Ensure compliance with building codes, local regulations, and project specifications

• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality control procedures

• Foster strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to maintain a positive and productive work environment

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up construction projects

• Proven success overseeing field operations for large-scale builds in sectors such as:

  • Healthcare facilities (hospitals, surgical centers, clinics)

  • University/educational campuses and dormitories

  • Industrial/manufacturing facilities

  • Hospitality/mixed-use buildings

  • Corporate office buildings and high-rise structures

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and safety standards

• Experience working in partnership with owners, developers, and design teams

• Proficient with construction management software and digital reporting tools

• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred

Location:
