We are conducting a search for a Senior Superintendent to work in Indianapolis for a contractor ranked in the top ten in the entire Midwest region. This is a non-travel position with a nationally-recognized top contractor in the ENR top 100. You will be overseeing large-scale, complex projects in sectors such as healthcare, education, and manufacturing.

You will be responsible for the overall direction of field operations, completion schedules, and labor budget outcome of their construction project, including any Specialty Department work. You will effectively direct and supervise field team members and subcontractors on the jobsite to bring the project to successful and timely completion. Superintendents establish a positive and collaborative working relationship with the members of the project team (Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors).

Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule project, including short interval schedules
• Schedule manpower and develop a working budget based on the estimates and project schedule.
• Control job progress by managing subcontractors, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
• Control project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs, adjusting to ensure a fair profit while maximizing customer satisfaction foremost.
• Demonstrate superior construction process knowledge.
• Direct and drive self-perform trades engaged on assigned project
• Ensure customer satisfaction by recognizing and meeting the clients’ needs.
• Provide leadership through team building, communications, encouragement, confidence, good judgment, and listening to others.
• Manage, mentor, and coach other Construction Supervisors.
• Take initiative and motivate others.
• Ensure that all parties understand the importance of safety to your project and educate those that need it.
