John Zambito

John Zambito is President of Zambito Search Group where he is dedicated to growing the firm into one of the largest executive search firms both locally and nationally. He has a passion for developing and mentoring new and existing search consultants as well as growing existing practices and developing new ones. He still works with select clients on highly critical searches.


John earned his BA in Political Science from The Ohio State University.


He began his career in executive search with a large national recruiting firm that had 100 offices and over 5,000 recruiters nationally. During his time there, John was awarded many times the Top 10 sales performance award, the Top 5 and Elite office performance awards, and Manager of the Year. He also received a Vendor of the Year award from Gateway Computers, for helping them hire about 1000 employees when they launched their company. The office every year was recognized by Business First as the largest search firm in Columbus.


In 2002 he joined the nation’s leading banking and financial placement organization and won Rookie of the Year, Top Producer,  and Office of the Year awards.


In 2007, John launched Zambito Search Group, (formerly Z-Careers) to help a Fortune 150 company hire approximately 70 professionals annually. In addition to this client, the firm has expanded with one of the largest Construction practices nationally.
