Hybrid Project Manager – Healthcare

Our client is a trusted leader in the SE Wisconsin GC/CM construction industry, and has been family-owned since its founding in the mid-1980s. Due to an aggressive growth plan (15% annually over the next 10 straight years), our client is searching for a talented Project Manager in their healthcare SPD vertical (projects are typically <$1m, and 8-12 weeks in duration).

The Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule and to the highest quality standards. This role is integral to maintaining and developing client and vendor relationships and collaborating effectively with the Finance and Field Teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads projects from inception to completion, overseeing planning, estimating, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-standard delivery.
  • Develops and closely monitors detailed project timelines, making necessary adjustments to meet key milestones.
  • Actively engages with clients to understand their vision and requirements, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring projects align with client expectations.
  • Establishes and maintains productive relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and ensuring quality service.
  • Regularly visits construction sites to oversee progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Leads meetings with project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication across all parties.
  • Manages resource allocation and quality control, optimizing materials and labor for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Employs value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Oversees RFI and submittal processes to maintain high standards.
  • Manages the project closeout process, including final inspections and client handover, conducting post-project evaluations for complete satisfaction.
  • Mentors and assist in guiding work of Assistant Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Five years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and construction-related software.
  • Demonstrated project financial acumen.
  • Motivated team player that exhibits adaptability and strong problem-solving capabilities, essential for navigating changing circumstances and challenges.
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills, fostering clear understanding and collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data driven decisions for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Committed to fostering positive relationships by demonstrating accountable and constructive behaviors.

Desired:

  • Healthcare and/or sensitive occupied commercial construction experience preferred.
  • MEP infrastructure project experience preferred.
