Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems
- Diagnose issues involving PLCs, motors, drives, controls, and production equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and components
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company standards
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, steel, metals, recycling, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and automation systems
- Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC systems
- Knowledge of industrial controls and automation equipment
- Experience with AC/DC motors, drives, and motor controls
- Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe maintenance practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
- Journeyman Electrician license
- Military electrical experience, including US Navy Nuclear training
- Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems
- Previous leadership or team lead experience
