Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, negotiated, and hard-bid estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate project budgets.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit, level, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and project risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, field operations, architects, engineers, and owners throughout the preconstruction process.
• Participate in project turnover meetings to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to operations.
• Maintain historical cost data and assist in continuously improving estimating processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor preferred.
• Experience estimating ground-up commercial construction, tenant improvements, and interior renovations.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
