• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems with diesel engines.
• Must be able to recondition and/or replace parts such as bearings, gears, valves, and bushings.
• Must be able to perform tasks required to maintain mobile equipment.
• Must use a variety of materials, test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Must be able to perform preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.
• Consult schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Must know how to weld.
• Responsible for completing quality work.
• Must operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Complete daily logs of inspections and any repair work completed.
