Maintenance Associate / Industrial Maintenance Technician

We’re hiring a Maintenance Associate / Industrial Maintenance Technician for an established automotive manufacturing operation near Columbus, Ohio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on industrial maintenance professional looking to join a manufacturing maintenance team supporting production machinery and equipment. Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on industrial maintenance and troubleshooting on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment failures and production downtime issues.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform maintenance and repair involving bearings, gears, belts, chains, seals, piping, and other mechanical components.
• Perform equipment installation, replacement, rebuilding, and machine repair.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Use precision measurement tools and proper maintenance practices when repairing equipment.
• Perform fabrication and light welding as needed.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Assist with rigging, equipment installation, and related plant maintenance activities.
• Work closely with production and other maintenance professionals to resolve equipment issues.
• Follow established safety and maintenance procedures in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial, commercial, or military maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working with equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid power, bearings, gears, belts, chains, seals, or related mechanical systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repair.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, or schematics.
• Welding or fabrication experience preferred.
• Machine repair and equipment installation experience preferred.
• Electrical or electromechanical experience is beneficial but advanced PLC programming experience is not required.
• Well-rounded, hands-on industrial maintenance or multi-craft background.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently as part of a larger manufacturing team.
