About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized design-build construction firm is seeking a Project Manager to join its growing Salt Lake City team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional looking to build a long-term career with a company that delivers complex industrial, commercial, manufacturing, distribution, office, and mission-critical projects throughout the region.
The Project Manager will play a key role in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while working closely with clients, superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and internal project teams. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and exposure to large-scale design-build construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontract agreements, and procurement activities.
- Coordinate with field operations teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents.
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Track project costs and identify opportunities to improve project performance.
- Lead project meetings with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively address potential delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, turnover documentation, and final project reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of construction project management, project engineering, or related commercial construction experience.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, office, retail, or similar construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, contracts, scheduling, and project controls.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Design-build project experience.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing project budgets.
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or large-scale commercial projects.
- Knowledge of scheduling software and project management platforms.
