Position Summary

This GC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Senior PM will serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is well-suited for a construction professional ready to take on greater project ownership and mentorship responsibilities within a growing, entrepreneurial GC.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full project lifecycle management for construction projects, from preconstruction planning through final closeout and warranty
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; proactively identify and mitigate risks
• Lead subcontractor buyout, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor performance and relationships
• Serve as primary client-facing representative, maintaining strong owner and architect relationships throughout the project
• Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Collaborate closely with superintendents and field staff to ensure alignment between office planning and field execution
• Monitor project financials, including cost forecasting, billing, and margin management
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and applicable building codes
• Mentor and support project engineers and assistant project managers
• Participate in business development efforts and client relationship building as opportunities arise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
• 7+ years of progressive project management experience with a general contractor. Experience in Industrial, Distribution, Food + Beverage markets is preferred
• Proven track record managing projects from $2M to $40M+
• Strong working knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project), cost management, and contract administration
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
